International Business Manager – EU
Job Purpose:
Take ownership of new item launch in all of EU.
Build successful “go to market strategies”, marketing programs and key customer
sales plans.
Key Responsibilities and
Accountabilities:
- Demonstrate a very high level of urgency. Speed to
market is critical.
- Develop sales strategy and “go to market” sales plan
for all of EU, by country, by customer including marketing support, and
building a sales organization
- Hire, train and manage brokers/distributors if
needed
- Candidate must have market/country experience
to build a successful strategy
- Contact and build relationships with retail
community
- Candidate should have a history of selling to
EU customers and building successful brands
- Manage the 4 P’s:
- Distribution – gain distribution in EU
- Product and new product suggestions – suggest new
items that build market share and fit with retailers strategies
fulfilling current unmet needs in the marketplace
- Develop pricing strategy
- Develop marketing and product promotional plan
including pr events and demand generation events
- Manage sales and profitability of “your area of
responsibility”
- “own” your business/area of responsibility
- P&L management
- Interface with US-based corporate headquarters
- Oversee and monitor customer’s orders, fulfillment,
shipping
- Interface with supply and production partners in
the EU
- Achieve sales and profit objectives
Business and Selling
Skills: Knowledge
of the market, customers, and the consumer packaged goods industry. Sales skills
of listening, adjusting strategy to “fit” customer needs, building “win/win”
solutions and creative ways to grow share in the market.
Candidate Requirements:
- College Degree, MBA preferred
- Bilingual – English plus at least one additional
western European language
- Consumer Packaged Goods experience required (Baking
Category would be ideal)
- EU market and customer knowledge
- Ability to build revenue generating sales solutions
and category solutions
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- This is a UK based position
